10/24/20 Top 25 Viewing Guide

We’re one week out from Halloween, and have just now gotten our first major upset last week. Southwestern took out Kansas Wesleyan, and looked strong doing it. The win definitely is a statement one for the Moundbuilders, who crack our Top 25 in the 23 spot. The KCAC may yet be a fun conference to watch, as Kansas Wesleyan will now have to also deal with triple-option Bethel in order to have a chance at making the playoffs.

In other conferences, the Sun Division is back in action after having a conference-wide scheduled bye week. Thankfully, nobody had to use the smart scheduling for a COVID make-up. Both Keiser and Southeastern should be in line to get wins this week. The Seahawks play Warner, and the Fire play St. Thomas. The GPAC gets a good matchup this week, as #19 Dordt plays #24 Concordia (NE). Neither team has played Morningside, and both have losses against Northwestern, so this tilt is effectively positioning the winner as the 3rd-best team in the conference. I’m very interested in seeing how this plays out.
